Terms of use
The rules for using SteadyPnL, in plain language.
These terms apply when you use SteadyPnL, the website steadypnl.com and the SteadyPnL app. SteadyPnL is operated by Damn Square LLC, a limited liability company organised in Wyoming, USA ("we", "us"). By using SteadyPnL you agree to these terms.
1. What SteadyPnL is, and is not
- SteadyPnL is a trading journal and risk-tracking tool. It calculates figures such as "max you can lose today" from the rules and trades you enter or import.
- It is not investment, financial or trading advice, and it does not give trade signals. Every trading decision is yours.
- We are not affiliated with any prop firm, broker or trading platform. Names are used only to describe compatibility.
- Your firm's own dashboard and records are the official source. Rules differ per firm and change over time; if your inputs or a firm's rules differ from what you entered, our figures will differ too. Always check your firm's numbers.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms.
3. Your account
You sign in with codes and links sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. Sign-in codes and links are personal: never share or forward them. Tell us at support@steadypnl.com if you think someone else has access to your account.
4. Your data
Your journal belongs to you. You allow us to store and process it only to provide SteadyPnL to you, as described in our privacy policy. You can export it at any time.
5. Fair use
Do not misuse SteadyPnL. That includes trying to access other people's data, probing or overloading the service, scraping it, reverse engineering it, reselling access, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Early access and changes
SteadyPnL is in early access. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We will try to give notice of significant changes.
7. Plans, trials and payment
- Prices are shown on our website and at checkout, plus tax where it applies. Founding members keep the price they signed up at for as long as their subscription stays active.
- The free trial lasts 14 days and does not require a card.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, which may appear on your statement and handles tax and invoices. Refunds follow the policy shown at checkout and any rights you have under the law where you live.
8. No guarantees
SteadyPnL is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make the calculations correct, but we do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that using it will help you pass an evaluation or keep an account.
9. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, failed evaluations, lost or breached prop-firm accounts, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is higher. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.
10. Ending
You can stop using SteadyPnL at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering the service; in that case we will give you a reasonable chance to export your data.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, except where the law of the country you live in gives you protections that cannot be set aside.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and email account holders about significant changes before they take effect. Using SteadyPnL after that means you accept the updated terms.
